The annual outrage over the number of nationally televised games LA gets is funny. Look, there's a very good point that smaller markets should get more publicity. But let's not act like ratings aren't a huge factor for TV. And -- whether they're good or not -- the Lakers' fanbase always tunes in. I'm not sure what there is to hate about that. I just think it's a bit much when people moralize about getting nationally televised games.

Am I crazy for thinking the Clippers with 31 games is worse than the Lakers with 35? I know Blake is still a big draw and it's of course LA but I expected them to be in the 15-20 range. At least with LAL you have Lonzo Ball who already proved how much of an insane draw he was for the Summer League.

10:30 PM EST slot can be very limited, there aren't many home teams that can play at that time, and other than Warriors I would say Clippers are probably 2nd best draw at that time slot.

I think Pacific teams have an advantage because there's a Pacific-centric timeslot (~7:30 PST) that needs to be filled every weeknight, and its most convenient if there's a Pacific home team for that slot (otherwise the game is starting super late in the local arena). And there's only 6 teams to choose from in that Pacific timezone.
